    VIDEO GAME DESIGN - Maze Games(GM1) Grades 3-6

    Design, build and take-home your own Windows-based video games. Learn to create your own game storyline, draw or import characters and backgrounds, and apply sound effects. Learn fundamentals of programming and video game design. Emphasizing a creative and inventive process with a no-violence policy, it effectively moves children from passive players of video games, to becoming active participants in the design and creation.


    VIDEO GAME DESIGN - Platform Games(GM2) Grades 4-8

    Design, build and take-home your own Windows-based video games. Learn to create your own game storyline, draw or import characters and backgrounds, and apply sound effects. Learn fundamentals of programming and video game design. Emphasizing a creative and inventive process with a no-violence policy, it effectively moves children from passive players of video games, to becoming active participants in the design and creation.


    VIDEO GAME DESIGN - Tank Games(GM3) Grades 4-8

    Introducing our new tank game class! Take your programming to the next level as you compete with other tanks to capture the flag! Move onto new and exciting levels and missions! In the missions you can pick up money, compete with different tank opponents that can move around or follow you! Create your our bases and cool battlefields, the possibilities are endless! You can have lots of fun while learning the fundamentals of programming and video game design. This experience of using creativity and technological skills will stay with you for a lifetime! When the class is over, you will have a complete game on a disk you can play at home and share with friends.


    WEB DESIGN AND PUBLISHING (WD1) Grades 4-8

    Students learn how to make their own web page and publish it on the World Wide Web. Topics covered: Web Design with WYS/WYG (what you see is what you get). Showcase your video, photo gallery, favorite games on the website. HTML concepts; Primary tags; Hyperlinks; text formatting; Colors, Backgrounds and Fonts; Pictures, Graphics and Animations; Tables; Web publishing and more!


    COMPUTER KEYBOARDING/TYPING (KT1) Grades 3-8

    BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS (BC1) Grades 1-3

    Learn the skills of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Computer Typing! This course will help students learn the basics of word processing, create presentations, learn to enter data in a spreadsheet, and develop basic typing skills. The classes are fun and engaging, with daily practices, tests, and games etc. that help foster and build necessary skills for future learning.

    After a highly successful year in 2009, Kiddie Techie will be expanding throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area in the summer of 2010. Some cities include Thousand Oaks, Calabasas, Glendale, West Hills, Simi Valley, Moorpark, South Pasadena, Yorba Linda, Fountain Valley, Rancho Palos Verdes, Claremont and more to come!

    Kiddie Techie is proud to announce it will be offering its first class in Riverside County! The city of Murrieta will be the host location for our Video Game Design class from July 6th-9th.

    Kiddie Techie found partnership with several cities in Los Angeles County to offer exciting summer camp and course. The cities include City of Walnut, City of Diamond Bar, City of Whittier, City of Lakewood.

    Kiddie Techie summer camp schedule is available. This summer Kiddie Techie computer camps are available in several cities in the Orange County area, including City of Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Saddleback Valley School District, Capistrano School District, and City of Orange. Kiddie Techie is working with several cities in the Los Angeles County. Please check back for updates.

    The Video Game Design class at Whitaker School in the Buena Park School District started today with 22 students. This program is offered through the GATE Education Program at the district. Students are from across the district. Lili Puailoa from the District GATE Program Office and Andy Osborn the Assistant Principal at James A. Whitaker School attended the first class. They are all impressed by the fun content taught and the professionalism of the Kiddie Techie instructors, and the interest level the students have shown.
